AIR LIQUIDE INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (ALIS)
14 ALIS scholarships will be awarded for 2011-2012 for high-level foreign students to study in France. The ALIS programme is co-financed by AIR LIQUIDE and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) for the 2011/2012 academic year. Study scholarships are awarded for one year of studies in France at Master 2 or Advanced Master (Mastère spécialisé-MS ) level in the following areas — energy (materials, processes, fluid mechanics); industrial engineering (industrial system optimisation, logistics); engineering (technology and innovation); economics/finance, in one of the following institutions — Ecole Centrale Paris Ecole Polytechnique University of Paris-Dauphine
Requirements: Nationals of Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, India, Morocco, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal or Turkey can apply.
Applicants must not be more than 30 years of age in the year of selection; must have not previously qualified for a scholarship from the French government or from another company; must not have a previous commitment with another company at the time of arrival in France, such as company grant, an open-ended employment contract. Applicants must be students in the country of origin and must have reached a level of training commensurate with that required for the course of their choice at Master 1 (Bachelor+4) level equivalent to four years of further study or preferably Master 2 (Bachelor+5) level equivalent to five years of further study; show an interest in the Air Liquide Group; have applied for one of the courses offered as part of the programme. Send a full application containing all the documents required (refer section entitled 'mandatory application documents' ). You must enrol at one of the programme's higher education partner institutions by April 15 before sending the application to the French Embassy.

DEBESH-KAMAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Debesh-Kamal Scholarships will be awarded by the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata, to deserving candidates for the purpose of higher education/research abroad. The preferred subjects of study/research are humanities and the basic sciences, but candidates in disciplines such as social sciences and applied science and technology will also be considered. The value of a scholarship will be around Rs 1 lakh for one-year only. Since this amount will not be adequate for studies abroad, candidates will have to produce acceptable evidence of other resources or committed financial support.

Requirements: Indian nationals with a uniformly good academic record with first class marks at the Honours or postgraduate level; not ordinarily be more than 30 years of age (exceptions for short-term postgraduate or post-doctoral researches). Candidates will have to submit evidence of their having been admitted to a course of study/research at a major university or comparable academic institution abroad.

INLAKS SHIVDASANI FOUNDATION
Scholarships are offered for up to two years for degrees in all kind of subjects, except engineering, computer science, urban planning, business studies, medicine, public health, Indian studies and Indian history, fashion design and music at top American, European and UK institutions. In the case of PhD programmes with collaborating institutions and universities, funding may be extended up to four years. The scholarship for the period covers tuition fees, living expenses and one-way travel. In case of specific programmes, the financial coverage will be discussed directly with the candidate.
Requirements: Scholarships are open to all Indians who hold top degrees from a recognised university and are residents of India at the time of application. All applicants must have done their first degree in India. Graduates must be below 30 years as on July 1 of the year of admission. Candidates must have secured admission to their proposed course of studies before applying.

MSC RISK MANAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS
Imperial College Business School offers a number of £10,000 scholarships, across all Master's programmes in the following categories (a) women (b) Indian nationals (return to the home state is a condition of the scholarship) (c) US nationals (return to the home state is a condition of the scholarship) and (d) academic excellence.
Requirements:
A first or upper-second class honours degree (or international equivalent), from a recognised university in a highly quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, science or economics. Applicants must be able to demonstrate well-researched short and long-term career goals and an understanding of the financial sector. Relevant work experience or internships will add weight to the application, although work experience is not a requirement. All applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency by meeting one of the following standards: GCSE, IGCSE, GCE 'O' level English or equivalent at grade B, or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) at grade B or IELTS (academic) (minimum score of 7.0 with a minimum score of 6.5 in writing and speaking or TOEFL (computer based) with minimum score of 250 (TWE of 4.5+)/ TOEFL (internet based) minimum overall score of 100, with a minimum score of 24 in writing and 24 in speaking or International Baccalaureate (IB) English at grade 6 (either subsidiary or higher) or successful completion of the business school's Pre-Sessional English course (www3.imperial.ac.uk/businessschool/programmes/en glish-language-support ).
